This is turning out to be a very exciting April. Nelo is deep into the creation of a new full-length record, Progress is putting together new music and organizing a studio outing of its own, and, crazily enough, in the midst of it all, I'll be heading back up to the Northwest for a week in the van playing shows with my old war buddies, Snarky Puppy. Seattle, Portland, Arcata, Santa Cruz, San Francisco, and then back to Texas. It's gonna be "Bananas," as Robert "Sput, the Helpful" Searight would say.
In the meantime, Progress will be playing a show with Mente Clara tomorrow (Wednesday, 4/11) night at the Sahara Lounge, deep in east Austin. We're all looking very much forward to it, and our set will feature a couple tunes we haven't played in a while. Mente Clara will be on at 9, Progress at 10:30, so come get a fix of booty-shaking musics of Brazilian and American origin.
